Animal figures are a bit of a classic of the toy collection. You'll probably see your child use them for all kinds of imaginative role play. Maybe the animals live on a farm or at the zoo – or maybe they take off to the city. The play develops your child’s ability to make up imaginative stories and put words to them.

Maybe the animals like to be counted, sorted, stacked on top of each other, or lined up in a row. The animals also come in handy when your child is learning math and needs to find out how many animals you'll each get if you are three people and share them equally between you.
