Suitable for children aged 5 yrs. to 10 yrs. BioBeads are a new type of pegboards and fuse beads from the Swedish manufacturer Nabbi, who have made fuse beads for pegboards for many years.
BioBeads are made from a material called Biodolomer. The production process requires less than 10 % of the amount of water used to produce bioplastics from for instance sugar cane. Biodolomer does not turn into microplastics in the oceans. It's heavier than water, so it doesn't float around on the sea surface. And over time, it completely dissolves.
If you also have regular plastic fuse beads in your fuse bead collection, note that BioBeads cannot stick to fuse beads made from regular plastic if ironed together. The two bead types have different melting points.
