Suitable for ages 5 yrs. to 10 yrs. BioBeads are a new variant of fuse beads and pegboards from Swedish manufacturer Nabbi, who have made fuse beads for pegboards for years.
They are made with the material Biodolomer, which is, for instance, also used to produce plastic shopping bags, as Biodolomer is much less harmful to the environment than paper bags or for example sugar cane. Biodolomer does not end up as microplastics in the ocean because it is fully biodegradable and heavier than water, which means it doesn't float on the ocean. Furthermore, producing Biodolomer takes less than a tenth of the amount of water it takes to produce bioplastics.
If you use regular plastic fuse beads, do not iron them together with BioBeads. BioBeads and regular beads have different melting points and will not fuse together.
